Refund policy

At Lewis Land & Cattle, we take pride in providing high-quality, USDA-inspected meats and farm goods. Due to the perishable nature of many of our products, our return and refund policy is necessarily specific. Please review the information below before placing your order.

Perishable Products (Meat & Frozen Items)

Due to food safety regulations and the perishable nature of our products, all sales of meat and frozen items are considered final once they leave our possession.

We are unable to accept returns or exchanges on perishable products.

Refunds or Replacements May Be Issued If:

  • You receive the wrong item
  • Your order arrives damaged, spoiled, or unsafe for consumption
  • Your order is missing items

To be eligible for a refund or replacement, customers must:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery
  • Provide clear photos of the product, packaging, and shipping label
  • Retain the product and packaging until the issue has been resolved

Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment through Shopify Payments, or a replacement may be provided at our discretion.

Shipping & Delivery Issues

Once an order has shipped, Lewis Land & Cattle is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather events
  • Carrier delays
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer

If a shipment is delayed but arrives cold, partially frozen, or safe for consumption according to USDA guidelines, it will not qualify for a refund.

If your order arrives thawed and unsafe for consumption, please contact us immediately so we can assist.

Local Delivery Orders

For local delivery orders:

  • Please inspect your order upon delivery
  • Any issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery

Orders not reported within this timeframe will be considered accepted.

Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after approval. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

Shopify Orders & Payment Processing

All orders placed through our website are securely processed through Shopify Payments. Refunds may only be issued to the original payment method used at checkout. We are unable to redirect refunds to alternative cards, accounts, or payment methods.
